TEMPLE BETH ISRAEL is a Jewish, egalitarian community synagogue serving Harlingen, Texas, and surrounding areas in the Texas Rio Grande Valley.

The synagogue is a warm and welcoming group of friends, many of whose families founded the temple in the 1950s. About 60 families are affiliated today, and the congregation is growing. Beth Israel offers religion and Hebrew classes for children. A renovated school building behind the synagogue houses four classrooms, a library, and an office.

Rabbi Frank Joseph directs the school and conducts services once a month at Temple Beth Israel. He also conducts various holiday and festival services, including High Holy Days.
